My name is Roarke Lahene, I have been a designer for over a decade, holding both a Cert IV and Diploma in Digital Media as well as completed studies in Industrial & Product Design. My experience ranges from small/large scale corporate exhibition printing, signage and application to branded clothing and merchandise design, preparation and production to business branding and marketing and social media.
I have been building and running my company Sydney Branding & Signage with my brother and business partner for over 5 years now, building skill sets with a vast array of social media / marketing / branding / merchandise / signage and graphic design projects. We specialise in providing a start to finish design branding and art direction. Helping clients create and manifest ideas, develop them into driving brands and concepts and create and produce an array of branding, signage and merchandise on every scale. I pride in my ability to be in control of the client's entire design process, allowing for quality and consistency through the project from start to finish. We see ourselves as a design agency / signage company / shirt printing and art direction all in one. I have worked to build a strong and loyal client-base that has grown and expanded with us over the years.
I produce House & Techno using analogue drums and synths in my spare time, along with running a record label out of Sydney called Soul Spill Recordings with some friends, where we release a variety of atmospheric emotive music from all four corners of the globe. Music is a huge passion of mine, and I see it as an extension of my artistic visual work. I use these skills and knowledge I have with Ableton, sound recording/editing, manipulation and production in my own design work creating a variety of sound/video projects. Along with my keen interest in photography, mainly utilising my vintage Polaroid camera, manual SLR lenses in conjunction with the Adobe Design Suite.
